Today I’d like to give a tip of the hat to rewards programs of all kinds. Especially the really great ones.

Wells Fargo gives me points for every purchase I make using my debit card. I use it for everything. As a result, when we needed new living room furniture last year, I cashed in the points and paid for it all using money that I got just for doing something that I was already doing… spending money.

Hotels, rental cars, airlines and more all give me something in return for giving them my loyalty. The fact is, I have loyalty cards with ALL of them and use whoever is cheapest, but that doesn’t stop me from using those rewards for free rooms, free airline flights, computer stuff, music, and even my living room furniture.

If you’re not signed up for every rewards program that you come in contact with, you should be, you’re missing out on a lot of free stuff!
