Day 81 – Digital Camera

Last night was my son Peter’s graduation reception. We had a blast.

Playing as a slide show on the TV’s in the house were pictures of him now and growing up.

Some of the younger pictures were a bit grainy as the pictures were low resolution when we got our first digital cameras – but those cameras changed everything in the picture taking department.

As I was going through the files of pictures I could always tell around the times that I’d gotten a new camera – there was always a surge of picture taking.

Most of all, with the digital cameras we don’t have to worry about taking “too many” pictures as if we don’t like it, or it doesn’t turn out, we don’t have to go through them and hand them back to the clerk at the fotomat (remember fotomats?). The cost is nonexistent – except for storage, which has gotten so cheap that I encourage all of you, especially new parents, to take as many pictures as you can.

Pictures bring back floods of memories and great feelings. I’m super glad that they’re so cheap now.

Keep snapping those pics. I will.
