Day 75 – My “Epic Circle”
Today I’m grateful for my “Epic Circle” of friends.
I know I’ve posted “Friends” before, but the farther I get into this project, the more I am convinced that it’s the PEOPLE in my life that I’m most grateful for.
Yesterday our group of magicians from Texas, Chicago, Maine and Iowa, all converged on our suite at the
Orleans Casino. Our excuse is to attend the IMX Convention for magicians, but our intent was simply to get the boys together for a good time.
The convention begins this morning.
I think that if we all had to leave today, just being together with such a talented, funny and all around good group of guys (Brian Brushwood, Gus Davis, Peter Boie, Daniel Martin, Nate Staniforth, Alex Rangel, Danny Garcia and more arriving today) it would have still been worth the trip.
These are the guys I turn to regularly. My support network. My friends.
We’re missing Jonny Zavant on this trip, and if David Hira had made it, I think my closest circle of magic friends would be complete.
The picture here is a couple of years old. My guess is that we’ll have an updated picture of the Epic Circle before this convention is over.
The Epic Circle had a great time in Las Vegas this week. We were short member Jonny Zavant, but we picked up Peter Boie, who now has a permanent spot in the circle.
We spent a lot of time with Michael Kent, Jonathan Burns and Rudy Coby.
Here’s the latest picture taken of us. It was taken at David Copperfields show at the MGM Casino. Scott Wells took the picture. Chris Kenner got us the tickets. After the show, we all got to share a special screening of The Hangover 2 with Copperfield..
I love these guys and I’m lucky to have each of them in my life.
Hey guys… remember that time we decided to meet in Las Vegas for IMX? That. Was. A. Great. Idea.
